Folks say
just be yourself
work hard
stay focused
you can achieve anything.
Thing 1: They make it sound simple.
Thing 1: but it's so hard.
Thing 1: my body can break sometimes
Thing 1: And looking at the gulf between where I am and where I want to be... I feel so small, useless and pointless.
Thing 1: I feel so tired. All too often. I am ashamed.
Thing 2: it's ok to feel tired.
Thing 2: it's ok to have naps.
Thanks to all my patrons and a special big extra thanks to Kate Webb, Erik Owomoyela and Sandra M. Odell.

Thanks, I think we all need to be reminded of this sometimes. And sometimes that even though there’s a huge gulf between where one is and where one wants to be, remembering to take a look back and see how big that gulf is between where one was and where one is now, can sometimes really help one’s perspective.

Thank you, and yes indeed that is very true as well 🙂
I often marvel at how XKCD and I both had to learn a lot about drawing simple shapes, when you look at our early stuff 🙂

And I think you might get a kick out of comic 669 🙂
