Boot on Ways to Not Touch Your Face (Comic #614)

Thank you Boot, and all the people that make deliveries, make it possible to get things. We appreciate your frontline services.

This trick for not touching your face I learned when I was an artists’ model for many years. I learned how to stay still for an hour, sometimes more, without scratching. It has come in handy. Possibly having training around, I don’t get to move my limbs unless told to, helps with impulse control too. I definitely have an on duty and off duty way of relating to this (and you bet I rubbed my face once I got home and thoroughly washed my hands)

Transcript:

Boot cares for others socially distancing.

This is Boot.

Boot has been through a lot, seen a lot.

Sometimes Boot pretends not to care.

During the COVID-19 pandemic Boot is buying and delivering groceries to others.

Boot: When my face gets itchy, I remind myself that pain is just information. I don’t think about the itch like I’m fighting it. I let the pain flow and be without judgement.

Thanks to all my patrons and a special big extra thanks to Mike Decuir, Lisa Jenkins, Kate Webb, Matthew Noe, and Erik Owomoyela.
