I Like Trees
Our tree is a little small, so I had to tape the things onto it!
To make these ornaments I had to buy crayons pencils and markers, all those things had been left behind when we moved to America. I think coloring in should be for folds of all ages. It isn’t wasted time, it’s useful meditation.
Astronomically Correct Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
What fabulous timing! I stumbled across this the day after Mayara went for a walk across the sky.
Mayara approves of this song
Figuring out what to do with Chuffles
World Fantasy Con Sketch 2!
Folks who came by the SFWA table at WFC were offered free sketches. I drew this one for Karen Meisner. She asked for something with unicorn and moon. She had no idea I was working on a unicorn monkey sketch at the time! Hooray for Chuffles!
I think Mayara and Chuffles will go on more adventures together.
Day 2 in DC
Chronicles of DC part 1
World Fantasy Con, here we come!
Liz Argall will be reading on Thursday at 10.30pm and available to do sketches at the SFWA table on Saturday 1-3pm.
Halloween costume funtimes!!!
Request One: Send me costume requests for the Things!
It’s fun to play dress ups, as previous comics have shown. Send me your request.
Or send me your own clever Halloween interpretations of the Things! Send them to things@lizargall.com
Request Two: PUMPKINS
If you carve a Pumpkin Cat and a Bunson Cat hanging out together I don’t know if there is a limit to my joy and I will send you Things temporary tattoos (and that tattoo paper is not cheap!).
Send pumpkin pics (or picts) to things@lizargall.com
Shrinky Dink test a success (oww)
Although it turns out that I find shrinking Things characters emotionally exhausting. I get really scared they’re going to get hurt and interfere in ill thought out ways that burn my fingers. I made myself not interfere while Bunson was shrinking, but it made me sick to my stomach to see him curl up and shrivel!
After the Things and Bunson shrank I did the love hearts and thank you. I do not enjoy sliding things around on the foil, but not worrying that someone would get hurt made it so much easier. I don’t think I’ll shrink Things without someone to keep me company and they will be extremely limited edition!
I’m pleased with the end results 🙂
